This highly structured, almost sculptural Mollie Parnis dress is absolutely beautiful! It is cut to follow and skim over the bodice with beautiful high neck and slim sleeves. I especially love how the striping in the fabric carried over and onto the sleeves showing that special attention was paid for this to happen and fabric not spared to create this effect and attention to detail. The skirt is quite full and lovely and the choice of fabric allows it to keep its shape. The fairly simple cut is completely off set by the spectacular fabric. It is a rich metallic silk brocade with both a geometric design and striped pattern across its surface. Each portion of the design has a slight puff appearance that really allows the fabric to catch the light wonderfully but not be overly metallic in feel. The colors are soft and feminine and the subtle underlay of gold thread give it a bit of extra pop. Hidden pockets along the inset seam on each side of the skirt are the perfect finish!
