Originally designed for horsemen to protect their clothing from trail dust in the late 1800s, the traditional duster was later adapted for use in automobile attire. Stumbling across one of these old trench coat style jackets at a Parisian flea market, we fell in love with its detailing and silhouette, dating it to around 1900 1915, and were inspired to create our own Metta rendition with a modern day fit. Featuring a full button front, generous side pockets, and raglan sleeves that are great for allowing cosy layering in the cooler months. 1915 Duster Jackets sleeves are finished beautifully with the same Japanese made buttons (used throughout), and the mid weight linen makes the 1915 Duster a transitional staple.
